True Cowboy Nation

The Aussie

Katie Dixon

Named the ‘Rising Star of International Rodeo Journalism’ by Australian Performance Horse magazine, Katie Bartlett first found her passion for journalism after representing Australia (as the youngest ever official) in the 2004 Athens Olympic Games in Greece and has never looked back. It was an article on the Australian NFR that catapulted her onto the international scene, prompting her to move to America. Currently based in Paris, Texas, Katie not only continues to write for magazines worldwide and work freelance as a TV host, but is one half of the hit new morning show on KFYN 104.3FM The River. In 2011/2012 and 2013 she won the APRA Australian Media Person of the Year and is now a sought after journalist for magazines and TV shows around the world. With her bubbly and outgoing personality, extensive knowledge in the world of rodeo and experience that can’t be bought, this Australian beauty is a triple threat in the world of journalism (TV, radio and magazine).

The Bull Rider

 Jay Morrow

Wayland, Iowa, cowboy back who grew up in a rodeo family with a passion for riding bulls for as long as he can remember. A sport enthusiast throughout high school, Morrow competed in track, baseball, football, wrestling and basketball; and was even offered a baseball scholarship but opted to concentrate on his rodeo career. Since then he has gone on to win numerous Champion titles and qualify for many circuit finals. Not only a fan favorite in the arena, Morrow also models for print, TV and billboards, for many organizations, including NRS, Cinch, Subway and Osage Casino. In 2014 he was featured on The Discovery Channel’s, “Tethered” where he survived the Panamanian Jungle for two weeks.
